Jubilee Party Leader President Uhuru Kenyatta has made four new appointments in the party leadership as a way of strengthening it ahead of the 2022 General Election.
In the new appointments, Wambu Gichuru has been named the acting Executive Director of the party. She fills the position that was left vacant following the death of James Waweru in March 2021.
The President also approved the appointment of three Directors namely; Mr Kamau Mbugua (Legal affairs), Osman Hasan (Outreach), and Titus Ngahu (Elections and Membership).

Insiders indicate that the new appointees were confirmed during a recent Jubilee Party National Management Committee retreat that was held in Nairobi.
The realignment exercise comes at a time when the Jubilee party is preparing to face off with Deputy President William Ruto-linked UDA party in the Kiambaa by-election.
In the last few by-elections, the ruling party was outshined by candidates from the Hustler Nation, but it now appears that Jubilee is keen to get its house in order and give UDA a run for its money in Kiambaa.
On Thursday, President Kenyatta met the Jubilee Kiambaa candidate Kariri Njama together with other ex-aspirants who pledged to work with the former.
The Kiambaa by-election is set for July 15, 2021.
