Jubilee party Vice Chairman David Murathe has claimed that they have evidence the Kiambaa by-election was rigged.
Speaking in a press conference on Monday, Murathe stated the ruling party is not satisfied with the outcome of the election that saw United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate John Wanjiku declared winner.
According to him, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) refused to allow a recount, yet they had reasonable grounds to request for one.
Murathe noted that they still have concrete evidence of the manipulation that was done on the numbers, adding that the numbers sent from polling centres were different from the ones read at the tallying centre.
"Sisi hatujaridhika na jinsi IEBC ilitendea candidate wetu. When you are not satisfied with the results and you want a recount they cannot refuse and our request was based on some very concrete evidence about the manipulation that was done by some of those numbers. The numbers that came out of some polling centres were not the same numbers that came to the tallying centre," said Murathe.

He went on to say that they will move to the courts for intervention, cautioning that the Kiambaa case is not over yet.
"We have evidence and that will be litigated in the courts of law so its not over until the courts find that out," added Murathe.
This comes a few days after UDA's Wanjiku was declared winner of the hotly contested Kiambaa by-election.
Wanjiku Njuguna was declared the winner of the Kiambaa by-election after securing 21, 773 votes to beat Jubilee's Kariri Njama who garnered 21, 263 votes.
