Kitui Governor has revealed that she has been discharged from Nairobi Hospital where she had been admitted after testing positive for COVID19.
In a statement sent out on social media, the first-term governor thanked doctors from Kitui and Nairobi for taking care of her.
"I'm leaving hospital after discharge, thanks to God for restoring my health. I also thank doctors and other medical personnel in both Kitui and Nairobi for excellent care," Governor Ngilu wrote on Twitter.

She went ahead to thank Kenyans for the messages of love and wishes of quick recovery.
Governor Ngilu's health status was revealed on Tuesday by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua during a speech he made during an event held at media mogul SK Macharia's home in Murang'a.
Governor Mutua passed along Governor Ngilu's apologies for missing the event revealing that she had contracted COVID19.
Governor Charity Ngilu was hospitalised on Sunday, July 25th after testing positive for the virus.
This was just five days after meeting former Prime minister Raila Odinga and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho at the coast.
Governor Ngilu met Garissa Governor Ali Korane a day after her coast meeting with the ODM leaders.
