Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has asked ODM Party leader Raila Odinga to be his running mate in the 2022 presidential elections.
Speaking in Mombasa on Friday as he started a three-day tour of the coastal region, Kalonzo asked Raila to return the favour after he (Kalonzo) stood by him in the last two general elections.
Kalonzo declared that although he did not believe in the notion of political debts, it would be politically wise for Raila to support him in 2022.

"I welcome my big brother Odinga who I have supported immensely in his political career for more than a decade. What I am saying is that there is no political debt, but I want him to use his wisdom and join me as my running mate and move this country forward," Kalonzo said.
The former Vice President insisted that his name would be on the ballot on 2022 and he would no longer be dubbed the 'gentleman' of Kenya's politics.
"Safari hii tutaeka ungwana nyuma. Na sisemi hivyo tupigane mawe. Tutafanya vita ambavyo vitatofautisha wale wanatumia wananchi and servant leaders," Kalonzo told a crowd in Changamwe.
Kalonzo was speaking just a day after ODM announced its intention to leave NASA effectively ending the coalition partnership.
Wiper Party leadership ratified a similar decision earlier in the week with the party now concentrating its efforts in the One Kenya Alliance.
