Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday revealed that his recent trips to Uganda have been focused on personal investment opportunities.
Speaking to Nyoxx wa Katta on Inooro FM, DP Ruto opened up on the July visit he made to Uganda where he was hosted by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe.
According to DP Ruto, the early July visit which he made with an entourage of his political allies was a personal visit on the invite of President Museveni after he had helped to secure funding for a business venture in the country.

"I was in Uganda on the invite of President Yoweri Museveni for the launching of a vaccines manufacturing facility," DP Ruto said.
Deputy President William Ruto revealed that this invite was necessitated by the fact that he had helped the investor secure funding from Equity Bank.
"The investor at the factory approached me 2 years ago asking for my help to get an investment loan from Equity Bank. I made a call and he was given Ksh 15 billion and he is now building the factory in Uganda. That is the reason why I was there," DP Ruto said.
The Deputy President went on to reveal that the investor, Dei Group, had assured him that Kenya would also benefit from the factory as the vaccines would be sold to Kenyans at the same rates as Ugandans.
He went on to question why his relationship with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni was raising eyebrows yet some opposition leaders had also campaigned for the strongman in past elections.
"Museveni is a friend of Kenya's president, he is my friend. I have campaigned for him. All these Nasa leaders have campaigned for Museveni. How is it that he can be friends to all these leaders but not mine," DP Ruto asked wondering if he was not entitled to friends.
