ODM leader Raila Odinga has revealed the name of his grandson born on August 24, 2021, while the family was celebrating the 71st birthday of their mother Mama Ida Odinga.
Speaking during an interview on Friday morning, Odinga noted that the son to his son Raila Junior Odinga has been named after his grandfather Jaramogi Oginga.
“Huu mjukuu ameitwa Jaramogi Oginga, lakini yeye pia ni mjukuu wa mlima huko. Kijani wangu Junior ameoa huko mlima upande wa Murang’a,” he said in part.

Raila Junior’s son was born on August 24. Following his birth, Raila Junior said he was the best gift to his mum as she celebrated her birthday.
“She gave my mum @IdaOdinga the best birthday present in the world @yvejr1 thank you God bless you. Love you so much!” Raila Junior posted.
Raila Junior is the second last child and in the Odinga family. He follows his elder sister Rosemary Odinga and is followed by Winnie Odinga, the last-born child in the family.
Initially, they were four children, but the eldest son Fidel Odinga, unfortunately, died in unclear circumstances in January 2015.
