A Nairobi court has found former Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario guilty of abuse of office and misuse of public funds.
Mr Wario had been charged with Misappropriating Sh54 million of the Rio de Janeiro Olympic funds, in 2016.
The former CS was found guilty alongside National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) official Stephen Soi.
The court said the former CS added three other individuals to travel with Team Kenya to Rio, even after accreditation for those travelling had been closed.
Judge Juma noted that Wario did not have the authority to allow the three travel to Rio.
