“The video involves a young girl from the age of 13-14 years who is being forced by a senior public officer in this country to feed him and also make her drink something that looks like busaa,” the woman said.
Speaking to a local daily on the matter, Barasa dismissed the allegations, stating that the child in the video is his daughter and that they were having tea at a cafe'.
The woman has since stated that she will follow up on the case and ensure justice is accorded to the young girl.
“That’s my first-born daughter Chelsea Naliaka Didmus and I taking tea at java,” he told a local daily.
She noted that the child needs to be rescued and counselled.
Barasa is not new to controversies as he has been involved in a number of incidents that raised eyebrows among members of the public.
About three months ago, a video emerged which appeared to show the lawmaker hitting a man alleged to be a contractor.
According to reports, the man had constructed classrooms in Kimilili and demanded payment for the work he had done.
Due to delayed payments, the contractor allegedly locked the classrooms and when the lawmaker went to launch them, they were inaccessible.
This is when an altercation ensued, leading to the MP allegedly roughing up the contractor.
