Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has reacted to Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru decamping to the United Democratic Alliance party, (UDA).
In a statement that has lit up social media, Kinyanjui said he respects her decision and Waiguru will be remembered as a respected and resourceful member of their team.
"We have learnt of the decision by our colleague to sign up with team yellow. As the Ibo say, a toad does not run in the daytime for nothing.
"We respect her decision and wish her well in the coming season. We shall remember her as a respected and resourceful member of our team," he said.

Governor Kinyanjui noted that in politics, timing is key and it is what decides between a master stroke and a rushed decision.
He added that this has ended many political careers and that the real political moves will happen in January.
"In politics, timing is key, it is what distinguishes a masterstroke from a disastrous move. It has ended many careers if not well thought," he said.
Adding that, "Having said that, I am reminded of the parable of the ladies who finished their oil before the main wedding. When the final day came, they were empty. The wedding starts in January."
This elicited mixed reactions from members of the public with a section in support of his sentiments while others critiqued the remarks.
"We'll be organizing the burial for others politically.....on the other side we will be celebrating the wedding as well," Emmanuel Koskei stated.
"Which wedding bwana Gvnr?! It's the burial. Jubilee's last burial rites when politicians like u will have no straws to clutch on to. I see u going back to Kanu very soon. Safe sojourn sir!!" Mwangi Walker wrote.
"She presented the certificate of good conduct Baba gave her," Brian Indumwa stated.
"Thanks to ODM,they sanitized and gave us a clean Waiguru," Patrona Tele added.
On Tuesday, Waiguru announced that she had officially joined the DP William Ruto camp.
"After extensive consultation with the Kirinyaga people, I have officially decamped to the hustler nation. 2022 Chama ni UDA, Form ni Hustler, Mpango ni BottomUp!" she said.
The Kirinyaga county boss thanked the leadership of the county for joining her the new journey with UDA.
She went on to say that they will walk as a team to be able to achieve development and growth for the people of Kirinyaga.
"Thank you, members of the Kirinyaga county assembly led by the Majority Leader, Hon. Murango, Speaker, Hon. Gathumbi, Deputy Speaker, Hon. Joel and Chair Women Caucus Hon. Lilian for accompanying me on my journey to join the Hustler Nation," said Waiguru.
