Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has notified the public of a planned closure of Langata Road, at the Nyayo Stadium Roundabout, on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
In the advisory issued on Wednesday, November 10, KeNHA mentioned that there would be traffic disruption along the route.
The closure is to pave way for the erection of Nyayo Footbridge along the route.

"This follows planned closure of the road to pave way for the erection of the Nyayo Footbridge, The road will be closed from Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 5:00 am to 12:00 noon," read part of the statement.
The authority pointed that the Langata-Nairobi bound traffic will be rerouted to Aerodome road just after Madaraka roundabout into Bunyala road.
"KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshalls on site. Motorists are further urged to exercise caution and road courtesy for better management of traffic," KeNHA added.
The notice comes days after the authority issued a similar one for Mbagathi road users on the planned erection of a fly-over bridge.
