Two Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) soldiers were killed and seven others injured after suspected bandits raided their camp in the volatile Laikipia County.
Reports indicate that the bandits ambushed the soldiers on Wednesday evening, November 10, 2021.
According to sources privy to the matter, two soldiers were ambushed as they dug trenches by the bandits.
Seven other KDF soldiers were injured in the fierce shootout with suspected bandits.

This comes hours after two General Service Unit officers were shot dead in a fierce shootout with bandits at the Laikipia Nature Conservancy.
Police said the officers were confronted by the bandits a short distance from Kamwenje police base in Laikipia West prompting a fierce shootout.
Confirming the incident, Rift Valley police boss Francis Ochieng stated that they were pursuing the bandits.
“We have reinforcements on the ground pursuing the attackers,” Mr.Ochieng said.
