Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has launched an onslaught against Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, terming him a weak link in the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).
According to Malala, Senator Moi has been sitting on the fence on the alliance’s link with ODM Leader Raila Odinga, adding that it is now time for the KANU chair to decide whether he is with them or with the former premier.
The Kakamega Senator further noted that OKA is keen on forming the next government and has no plans of supporting Raila’s presidential bid.
“We are disappointed as One Kenya Alliance foot soldiers when we see some of principals have weak body language politically, meaning that sometimes they insinuate, like recently you had Senator Gideon Moi trying to insinuate that we are working and are going to work with Raila Odinga,” he said during an interview with NTV.

“We made the brave step of moving out of NASA to form One Kenya Alliance. We want to challenge our brothers in KANU, move out of Jubilee, come and concentrate in One Kenya Alliance; you cannot exist in two coalitions at the same time,” he added.
Regarding the alliance’s chances of ascending into power come 2022, Malala noted that One Kenya can win if they work together as a team.
“One Kenya Alliance is a viable idea when we are together, the moment we start contemplating that we are going to be a branch of Raila Odinga in ODM, then we have weakened the entire plan of bringing Kenyans together.
Malala’s statement comes one day after he together with other Amani National Congress legislators threatened to ditch OKA if it does not name a presidential candidate by December 25, 2021.
