Government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna has called out a politician who caused a huge traffic snarl-up after holding a rally in the middle of an international highway.
In the statement issued on Sunday, Oguna called on politicians to be mindful of other people's rights.
"The snarl-up on Ahero-Kisumu road that extended for over 20km, and lasted for hours is an unfortunate incident that didn’t need to happen in a country like ours where everybody's right is respected.
"However, where one's right ends is where another person's right begins, and a right must be accompanied with responsibility. On account of yesterday's incident, travelers missed their flight, the sick couldn't get to the hospital and generally, nobody got to where they were traveling to as planned," the statement read in part.

Oguna added," It has been revealed that the snarl-up was caused by certain political leaders who decided to hold a rally right in the middle of an international highway.
"We ask everyone to be mindful of others and not to display impunity of this calibre. Let us all exercise sobriety and be disciplined particularly when enjoying shared public utilities. We should desist from inconveniencing others.
