Media mogul and Royal Media Services (RMS) owner Dr. S.K Macharia was among the speakers at the Azimio la Umoja convention on Friday at Kasarani.
The RMS owner, who is a staunch supporter of ODM leader Raila Odinga, started by clarifying that it was his democratic right to political participation.
"I am exercising my personal constitutional right to political participation as a responsible and free citizen. My political views and preferences are completely independent of my businesses which are managed by impartial and competent professionals," Dr S.K Macharia said.
Dr. Macharia went on to highlight his long-term friendship with the Odinga family.

The media mogul led the crowd in declaring Raila Odinga Tosha for the presidential race in the 2022 general election.
"I conclude in the hope that I have made my contribution in helping tell the true story of Raila as I know him, his father, and the long political journey of our great country," he said.
Kenyans turned up in large numbers for Odinga's big day at Kasarani where he is expected to announce his presidential candidature.
Pro-Odinga chants could be heard from his supporters on the roads leading to the stadium.
