The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced mass recruitment of interested youths seeking to become an integral part of the service.
In an advertisement through the local dailies, NYS notified the public that the recruitment exercise will start on Monday 10 to Friday 15, January 2022.
"The National Youth Service wishes to announce to the general public that there will be recruitment exercise of NYS Volunteers (Male and Female) throughout the Republic from Monday,10th to Friday,15th January, 2022 as per the below requirements and schedule," the advert read in part.

ELIGIBILITY:
Interested applicants are notified to adhere to the stipulated requirements to qualify for the recruitment exercise. They include:
- Be a Kenyan citizen and resident of the respective Sub-County of recruitment.
- The recruitment age is from 18years to 24 years.
- Have a mean Grade of D plain and above in KCSE
- Produce an Original National Identity Card, Academic Certificates( and avail a set of photocopies of the same at the recruitment center).
- Must have a Certificate of Good Conduct.
- Must be ready to undergo a medical checkup during and after the recruitment exercise.
- Be ready to undergo rigorous physical training.
- Be ready to volunteer service to the Nation in any part of the Republic of Kenya.
How TO Apply:
The general public has been notified to avail themselves at the recruitment centers around the country on the slated dates from 8:00 am.
Successful applicants will report for the NYS paramilitary training at NYS Gilgil and NYSTTI Naivasha according to the dates and times stipulated in the calling letters.
NB: Orphans meeting the requirements will be given special preference subject; Persons with disability have been encouraged to avail themselves as long as they can withstand the physical training.
