The family of Isioli gender activist and peace ambassador Elizabeth Ibrahim has been thrown into mourning following her sudden death.
According to reports, the mother of five was attacked by a middle aged man and stabbed to death in an incident that happened on Monday, January 3.
Confirming the incident, Isiolo County Commissioner Geoffrey Omoding said Elizabeth was attacked over a suspected land dispute.
Following the incident, the attacker was badly beaten by irked members of the public who descended on him with kicks amd blows before he was rescued by the police.
The suspect was rushed to Isiolo Referral Hospital in critic condition where he is being guarded by police officers.

It has now emerged that Elizabeth was killed at the same spot where her husband and on died in 2011.
The two were among 10 people that were killed by armed attackers following a clash between two warring communities living in Isiolo.
Elizabeth's house, in which her husband and son were hiding was torched by the attackers.
Sadly, her husband was shot dead while he struggled to get out of the burning house while her Form Four son succumbed to burn injuries.
Following the incident, Elizabeth started peacebuilding and conflict management through community sensitisation and awareness.
