Immediate Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya has revealed plans to serve for one term only if elected the governor of Trans Nzoia county.
Come August 9, the former Rift Valley RC is seeking to succeed Governor Patrick Khaemba who is serving his final term.
Speaking on JKLive, Natembeya stated that he hopes to make immense developmental changes during his reign as the governor that people would beg him to rule for another five years.
"What I would say is that I will be elected this year, I'll serve for five years, I'll not campaign in 2027, people will beg me to continue serving them that's my hope and that's my prayer and I hope that I'm going to do this," he said.

Natembeya also addressed his fall out with Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen noting that they fell out with Murkomen when the politician attempted to bully him during the Mau evictions.
He said the Senator is full of ego and was trying to force his way on issues not knowing that he was discharging the government's mandate.
"He is a malicious guy, I had a run-in with him when dealing with the issue of Mau forest. He came with a bloated ego, they are used to bullying Civil Servants
"He came and found a rock there, he hit, got hurt and went back to Nairobi. He has never forgiven me," he added.
Natembeya urged Murkomen to continue attacking him saying the more he speaks about him the more the people endear themselves to him.
"Murkomen's mouth has been a blessing to me, he basically made me. I would like him to Trans Nzoia more and speak the way he has been speaking
"The more he opens his mouth the more people love me. In fact, he made me become a regional Commissioner. He brought focus to me," Natembeya said.
