Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria is currently recovering in Dubai following a successful surgery. The lawmaker was forced to undergo surgery after he sustained burns from an electric blanket last year.
Former Nyandarua County Assembly Speaker Ndegwa Wahome visited the lawmaker in Dubai on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, and issued an update on his health.
According to the images shared by the former county speaker, Kuria appeared to be recuperating well.
Wahome revealed that Kuria is healing well and looks forward to returning to the country and picking up from where he left politically.
"Today I visited my Brother and Friend, the Leader of the @ChamaChaKazi_KE Party and MP Gatundu South @HonMoses_Kuria at Dubai where he’s recuperating. I can authoritatively report to the Country that Hon Kuria is well, vibrant and robust as Kenyans have always known him.
"He’s looking forward to returning to the Country on the 19th February, 2022 to occupy his rightful space in the Countries discourses in the Political, Economic and Social Spheres," Wahome revealed.
"He thanks all of you Kenyans for your Prayers and messages of goodwill that has made all the challenges he was facing to be greatly mitigated and become easy to surmount," he added.
Kuria has been away from the country since last year seeking treatment in Dubai.
Despite his absence, Kuria has weighed in on political events that have occurred while he's been away on treatment.
The lawmaker called upon Deputy President William Ruto and former premier, Raila Odinga to keep it civil in their altercations, stating that they have the power to send the country into chaos.
Kuria will hold a thanksgiving prayer at the Thika Greens Stadium on February 19.
