ODM leader Raila Odinga immediately took to Twitter to congratulate Senegal after winning their first Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title.
While congratulating the Lions of Teranga, Odinga promised Kenyans that Harambee Stars would be at the next AFCON under his administration.
The former prime Minster promised to invest in grassroots football if he won the August election.
"Congratulations Senegal on winning #AFCON2021 I promise the legion of Kenyan soccer fans that under my administration Harambee stars will be at the next #Afcon. We’ll invest in football starting with grassroots/mtaani and community clubs," Odinga stated.

The two sides were locked at 0-0 after extra-time in the final but Liverpool star Mane held his nerve in the shoot-out which his team won 4-2.
