Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has dismissed reports that he is set to join Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Reports emerged on Friday indicating that Oparanya would ditch Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umjoa for Kenya Kwanza Alliance which is being led by DP William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wrtangula.
In an update issued on Friday, February 11, Oparanya stated that he had spent the day attending Odinga's campaign board.
The Kakamega Governor assured his supporters that he was fully behind Odinga's candidature.

"I urge Azimio supporters to ignore propaganda being spread my detractors who are uncomfortable with Azimio wave sweeping the country & my firm stand behind Baba's bid for presidency," he stated.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) part also issued an update urging its followers to ignore the rumors.
"DPL Oparanya is a member of the Raila Campaign Board chaired by Governor of Laikipia County HE Nderitu Mureithi. The board has been meeting the whole of this afternoon & Governor Oparanya was in attendance. Ignore rumors being spread by busybodies who have run out of ideas," ODM said.
A section of netizens pointed out that Oparanya had been missing during the recent Azimo rallies in Western.

The Azimio brigade was led by Governor Hassan Joho, Murang'a Women Representative Sabina Chege, Senator Ledama Olekina, Junet Mohamed, and Kanini Kega.
