Deputy President William Ruto now says he is willing to shed more light on the alleged plot to rig the 2022 polls.

In an interview in the US, the DP expressed fears that the 2022 elections could be bungled.

His remarks generated lots of buzz among Kenyans who gave it mixed reactions.

IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati said they'll probe the matter even as he assured Kenyans that the possibility of the 2022 elections being rigged is nearly zero.

Ruto, through his Director of Communications Emmanuel Talaam, said he is ready to testify to the IEBC on how the plot to rig the polls is being cooked.

"The DP is ready to cooperate with the IEBC to ensure that the August 9, General Elections results are not compromised," Talaam told Nation.

The revelations come at a time when Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege is being probed for alluding that the 2017 polls could have been rigged.

Allies of Raila have told off the DP over the rigging remarks and even asked IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati not to be cowed by Ruto's statements.

They have also accused Ruto of sensing defeat in the August 9 polls saying he is setting the ground to reject the poll results.
