Deputy President William Ruto will battle it out with two candidates for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential ticket.

In a surprise turn of events, Ruto was invited for an interview alongside the other two candidates on Saturday 12 March 2022 to determine their eligibility for the ticket. 

The two little-known candidates are; Ms. Tracy Wanjiru and Mr. Orina Jephanei. 

"UDA presidential candidates; Deputy President William Rut0, Ms. Tracy Wanjiru, and Mr Orina Jephanei have been invited for nomination interviews at Hustler Plaza on Saturday," the part said.

In the letter seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, the DP was requested to carry his identification card, original, and copy of academic certificates, proof of payment of nomination fees, and an updated resume. 

Ms. Wanjiru and Mr. Jephanei were also required to present similar documents by UDA Party Secretary-General Veronica Maina.

The venue of the interviews will be at the party headquarters.
