Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has disclosed that he was invited to a State Hosue meeting on Friday by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
This comes days after Wamatangi joined UDA during the Thika rally by the Kenya Kwanza alliance.
"I have been invited to State House. I received a text this morning," Wamatangi said while appearing on a show on Thursday morning.
Explaining his decision to join UDA, the senator said that the Willam Ruto-led UDA party was the most popular in Kiambu County.
"The most popular party in Kiambu is UDA. I don’t have a problem with Jubilee, the people of Kiambu told me to move to UDA," he stated.

Wamatangi is eyeing the Kiambu gubernatorial seat and will battle it out with Thika MP Patrick Wainaina and Ferdinand Waititu for the UDA ticket.
At the same time, President Kenyatta has invited all elected MPs, Senators, and Governors from Mt Kenya to State House on Friday.
"I wish to invite you for a meeting of all MPs, Senators, and Governors from the Mt Kenya region at Statehouse Nairobi on Friday, 18th March 2022, from 10 am," the invite to Mt, Kenya leaders by Kenyatta read.
