Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has expounded more on the Azimo deal signed with Raila Odinga.
In a wide-ranging interview with Citizen TV's Waihiga Mwaura, Kalonzo made a u-turn from his previous comments stating that he knew what he signed.
"I’m a Senior Counsel, I know what I signed. There is no way I would sign a document without reading it," the former Vice President said.
Kalonzo exuded confidence that Azimio would form the next government reaffirming his support for Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
The Wiper leader insisted that the deal signed was Azimio One Kenya Alliance.
"The deal was the name Azimio - One Kenya. The three legged stool is about stability and if you're a believer like me it reminds me of the trinity.
"It's not easy to build coalitions particularly when there is an issue of trust. The Azimio - OKA will not fail and certainly not because of me," he stated.
The former vice president mentioned that they had not discussed positions with Odinga when the deal was signed.
"We haven’t discussed positions with Raila Odinga. I can go home if the country is safe. If however my brother, in consultation with other friends, decides I can deputize him, I will gladly do so," Kalonzo said.
The Azimio brigade has been campaigning for Odinga in Nairobi. The former Prime minister has been on a week-long trip to London.
