Kathiani MP Robert Mbui now says it was disrespectful for Deputy President William Ruto to send the people of Gatundu to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking in an interview on Monday, Mbui said the DP had other means to communicate to president Kenyatta like a simple phone call if he wanted.
The legislator mentioned that the DP had decided to take on his boss president Kenyatta head-on.
"If he wants to tell the president something, he can make a phone call, an email, or SMS. Why does he have to go to Gatundu and send them to the President? It is disrespectful for DP Ruto," the MP said.

While campaigning in Gatundu last week on Friday, DP Ruto told the residents to remind President Kenyatta that he campaigned and helped him ascend to power.
"Mimi nataka niwatume, mwambieni Ruto amesema ata kama ameamua kumuunga mkono mtu ya kitendawili, namuomba kwa unyenyekevu, asitumie ile kisu nilisaidia yeye kupata kunikata miguu. Mwambie huyo Ruto ambaye unampangia, ni yeye mliombewa na yeye hapa Gatundu na mama Ngina alikua. Tafadhali usimuumize," DP Ruto told Gatundu residents.
DP Ruto urged the locals to persuade Kenyatta to stand aside and let him deal with Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
"Mwambieni Uhuru ata kama hataki kunisaidia, aniwachie huyo mzee ya kitendawili, mimi niko tayari yeye kupambana nayeye, yeye asimame kando mimi nitamalizia huyo mzee wa kitendawili," DP Ruto told the gathering.
