"Shuka chini, miaka tano yote hakuna kitu umetufanyia," a woman was heard shouting.

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris had a rough time campaigning in Nairobi after a group of rowdy people shouted her down while selling her candidature.

In a video seen by Nairobi Leo, the Woman MP found herself between a rock and a hard place when the residents demanded she steps down from addressing them.

Residents were heard lamenting that she has done nothing for them even as Passaris tried in vain to cool the agitated crowd.

"Shuka chini, miaka tano yote hakuna kitu umetufanyia," a woman was heard shouting in the video seen by Nairobi Leo.

Loosely translates to: "Step down, for the five years we have elected you, you have done nothing".

The incident reportedly happened in Westlands where she was campaigning on Monday.

The Woman MP on Monday took to Twitter to plead for help claiming that a group of thugs had put her and her convoy under siege.

She claimed that her convoy was attacked by the thugs who took away her car keys.

"Our convoy is under attack. We are in Westlands near Deepsea. Help. The thugs have taken our truck keys and are demanding money to give back our keys," Passaris tweeted.

She later confirmed that the situation had been contained after police came to her rescue.

Passaris is seeking to retain her woman MP seat in the August 9, polls on an ODM party ticket.

ODM is a party to the Azimio La Umoja movement led by ODM leader Raila Odinga.
