Azimio la Umoja leaders had a rough day in Migori county on Friday 1st after chaos rocked their rally.
The Azimio team led by the country's Senator Ochillo Ayacko and Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo had pitched camps at Migori Posta grounds to drum up support for their party leader Raila Odinga's presidential bid.
However, the scuffles started shortly after the arrival of Migori Woman Representative Pamella Odhiambo. According to reports, Senator Ayacko's supporters tried blocking the woman MP from accessing the venue before chaos broke out between supporters of the two leaders.
The two, who are battling it out for the ODM party ticket in Migori gubernatorial race, had been embroiled in supremacy battles within the county for months now.
It was reported that Dr. Odhiambo was having a parallel rally some kilometers away from Posta grounds before she decided to storm Ochillo's rally accompanied by hundreds of her supporters.

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina, who was also present at Ochillo's rally, was forced to pause his speech as the two factions engaged each other. After pull and push which lasted for nearly fifteen minutes, the woman MP eventually made her way into the podium with each team taking time to heckle the other.
“National politics should never be mixed with these small politics to derail us, we will miss the bigger picture of taking Raila to State House,” a visibly agitated Ole Kina said as quoted by the Daily Nation.
Speaking after things cooled down, Dr, Odhiambo called on the ODM party to ensure there is a level playing field in Migori Gubernatorial nominations to ensure the best candidate is picked for the party's ticket.
Among the key aspirants seeking the party's ticket in April 13 nominations include Robert Okong'o, Philip Mwabe, and former Mombasa executive Seth Odongo.
ODM has already assured its aspirants that there will be open nomination processes for all candidates in areas where the party will not have given out direct nominations.
