Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga's sister Ruth Odinga was forced to flee a polling station in Kisumu County after chaos erupted. 

Trouble began at Urudi Primary School in Nyakach constituency after reports indicated that one person had sneaked an extra electronic voting gadget into the venue.

Ruth made her way to the polling station to monitor and verify the claims in the ongoing ODM primaries.

Reports indicate while she was leaving the polling station a section of youth clashed.

Police officers intervened and fired in the air to disperse the rowdy youth as the former minister's sister fled the scene. One person was injured in the fracas.  

On Tuesday, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party announced dates for the party primaries in Narok, Kajiado, and Nairobi counties.

The Raila Odinga-led party on Tuesday intimated that the party's primaries in Kajiado and Narok counties shall be conducted Wednesday, April 20.

The party further stated that nominations in Nairobi County will be conducted on Thursday, April 21.
