Governor Alfred Mutua has expressed concern over the gazetted structure of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party.
In a tweet on Thursday, April 21, Mutua noted that he was concerned that Maendeleo Chap Chap Party (MCCP) did not have a single representative in the gazetted Azimio party.
"To Kenyans who have been asking me why some of the parties in Azimio have multiple positions in the 2 gazetted structures while others such as MCC party don’t have a single rep, and whether this is a sign of things to come when we win elections? I am also quite concerned," the Machakos Governor stated.
Despite the MCCP being part of the Azimio coalition, in the gazetted structure, they did not have a single representative.
In the gazetted coalition, President Uhuru Kenyatta will chair the Coalition Council while former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was named the Party Leader and Council Member.
