An opinion poll by Tifa released on Tuesday showed that Raila Odinga was the most preferred candidate in three counties.

Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has been hit by the fury of a section of netizens after her comment on an opinion poll on the presidential elections ahead of August.

According to an opinion poll by Trends & Insights for Africa (Tifa) released on Tuesday, May 3, Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga was the most preferred candidate in Nairobi, Makueni, and Mombasa counties.

Senator Omanga took to her official account to seemingly react to the poll saying that some polls were tailored to achieve a certain narrative.

“Opinion polls tailored to achieve a certain narrative. Ground ndio kusema. DP @WilliamsRuto has the people, and that's what matters,” she tweeted.

However, her tweet did not go down well with some netizens who went for her neck over her remarks that suggested that she was not agreeing with the results of the poll.

According to a section of netizens, they wondered why the senator did not complain when previous polls showed Ruto was leading in the presidential race.

They said that Omanga was in celebration mode when Ruto was leading in the polls and now when Raila was leading, she was crying foul over the polls being tailored.

Here are some of the reactions as captured by Nairobileo.co.ke.
