Miguna reminded Gachagua to focus on more important pressing issues that the country is currently facing

Kenyan Canada-based Lawyer Miguna Miguna has criticized Deputy President William Ruto's running mate Rigathi Gachagua over his latest remarks on the new Police uniforms.

This was after Gachagua, while on the Kenya Kwanza campaigns on Saturday, June 11, vowed to change the newly introduced blue police uniforms, once they take over government after August.

Miguna, who has been an ardent supporter of Ruto's presidency, told off Gachagua, reminding him to instead focus on issues affecting millions of Kenyans.

According to Miguna, Gachagua should concentrate on more pressing issues such as creating jobs for Kenyans, fighting for human rights as well as strengthening the country's democracy instead of focussing on non-issues.

"Mr. Rigathi: This is a silly sideshow. No one asked you to change the police uniform. Focus on the agendas of 50 million Kenyans - jobs, human rights, democracy, rule of law, electoral and social justice. If not, shut up," stated Miguna in his tweet.

This came after the Mathira MP said they will ensure that the new blue uniform is revoked and given to the PCEA church, claiming that such blue uniforms belong to the “women’s guild” of the church.

Ruto's point man was addressing the Kenya Kwanza county economic forum in Nyandarua county.

"Mumesumbuliwa sana na Matiang’i na Kibicho. Ata ile uniform ya blue ambayo hawataki, tutawaondolea tuwarudishie ile ya Kitambo. Hiyo ya blue tutarudishia kanisa ya PCEA. Hiyo ni uniform ya women’s guild

Rigathi also promised to effect other sweeping changes including salary increments in the police service as soon as Kenya Kwanza ascends to power.
