President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday, June 23, flagged off the 2022 WRC Safari Rally at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi County.
The Head of State said that the safari rally had inspired many generations of Kenyans.
"The rally comes amid an election year, but it also reminds us that competition is not enmity; that we strive against but accept the outcomes with dignity and grace. How we run the race is more important than the result," Kenyatta stated.
From KICC, the cars will be driven to Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani for a Super Special Stage before proceeding to Naivasha where they will battle through 18 competitive stages.
