CUE on Thursday said Senator Sakaja's Ugandan degree is not eligible for recognition.

The High Court has declined to bar the IEBC from printing ballot papers for Nairobi Governor Candidates.

This is after a petitioner moved to court to challenge the clearance of Senator Johnson Sakaja to vie for the Governor's seat.

Justice Anthony Mrima in his ruling allowed the IEBC to continue with the printing of the ballot papers as the case challenging Sakaja's clearance is being heard.

The case proceeding pitting the Senator is yet to factor CUE ruling on Thursday that stated Senator Sakaja's degree is not legible for recognition.

Dennis Wahome had moved to the high court to block Sakaja from vying after the IEBC disputes tribunal declined to bar Sakaja from vying.

CUE on Thursday revoked the recognition of Senator Sakaja's degree saying the leader did not serve them with evidence that he studied at Teams University.

The Commission for University Education wrote to IEBC saying Sakaja had failed to submit any proof to confirm he studied at Team University in Uganda.

Sakaja's degree certificate has been in the limelight after petitioners sought his removal from the Nairobi governor race, saying he does not have a university degree.

It is a constitutional requirement that all candidates running for governor must be holders of at least a degree from a recognized university.
