The Agano Party presidential candidate launched his manifesto on Monday.

Agano Party presidential candidate David Mwaure Waihiga on Monday, July 4 launched his manifesto which was anchored on 12 key issues.

The manifesto, which was dubbed 'Badilisha’, featured family, youth, people living with disabilities (PWDs), workers, business owners, the economy, religious institutions, the international community, the environment, the constitution, as well as county governments.

Speaking during the launch, Mwaure said that his government would reduce PAYE by 50 percent to enable Kenyans meet their daily expenses.

“From the first day of our being in office we shall officially reduce the PAYE that is paid by Kenyans by 50 percent to enable Kenyans have some money with themselves and be able to meet their expenses,” Mwaure stated.

Here are some of the pledges made by Mwaure. 

1. Stop Money Laundering; The Agano presidential candidate said corruption is the biggest and most profitable industry by political leaders. He pledged to stamp out corruption and return the wealth to “Wanjiku”

2. Mwaure said if elected the President would be the Minister of Agriculture. 

"All ministry of agriculture employees will be vetted. This will include former Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, and Parastatal boards," part of his manifesto reads. 

3. On matters of health, Mwaure said his government would establish a National Health commission to tame rising health costs in both private and public institutions. 

4. Education; Mwaure said that roadside curriculum changes would come to an end adding that the Ministry of Education would be headed by an educational profession.

5. Justice, Law, and Order; The Agano candidate said that his government would not only actualize the judicial fund, but ensure that it is adequate to fund the process of expeditious justice.

6. Security; Mwaure pledged that his government would ensure that promotions and renumerations in the National Police Service are driven by merit. 

7. To curb unemployment, he promised to introduce legislation to ensure that firms that employ youths and women get significant tax breaks, and are given priority when it comes to issuance of government tenders. 

8. According to Mwaure's manifesto, his government would collect less tax from the people. All church activities would also be exempted from taxation.

Others are; 

On matters of business, County, and National government pending bills to be verified and converted to government bonds.

Introduce a pollution tax users and manufacturers of any type of plastic item. 

Respect and defend the constitution of Kenya 2010 and guard against attempts to mutilate it though un-procedural amendments
