"Raila Odinga's popularity means that he has 9.4 million votes while Ruto has 8.1 million votes if election were to be done now. Ruto on the other hand has lost about 300,000 votes from the 8.4 million he had in the last poll," Ambitho said.

The poll further revealed that Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah was third with a 4 per cent popularity while his Agano Party counterpart David Mwaure came in fourth with 0.1 percent.

The Infotrak poll comes after a survey by Trends for Insights Africa (TIFA) on Monday revealed that Raila was leading with 42 percent support compared to Ruto who has 39 percent.

The DP has, however, come out to dismiss the recent polls saying that only voters will reveal the ideal candidate in the ballot.
