Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga has stated that he will accept a loss in the August polls if the election is free and fair.
In an interview with BBC, Odinga disclosed that he would have no problem accepting the outcome of the results if they are credible.
"I've said that several times and I want to repeat it here, that if elections are free and fair, and we lose, we will accept," Odinga said.
In the wide-ranging interview, Odinga noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta would not play an active role in his government.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta will not play any role in my Government. He has already said he is retiring and going home," he stated.
The former prime minister noted that he would focus on fighting corruption if elected in the August polls.
"Nobody is indispensable in the war against corruption, We will deal with everybody equally," Odinga said.
Odinga also mentioned that the Azimio would restructure the budget if elected in August to make the cost of living bearable for Kenyans.
"We will see how we can restructure the budget so that we can be able to lower the cots of some of the essential commodities. You basically trim down on your expenditure and only deal with the most essential until you are out of the woods," the former premier said.
