Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his deputy running mate Martha Karua have shared their message of condolences to families that lost their immediate family members in the River Nithi road accident.
The two in a joint statement, through their presidential campaign spokesperson Makau Mutua, also wished quick recovery to victims who are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
"On behalf of our campaign, the Azimio La Umoja coalition party flagbearer Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua end their deepest condolences to all those who have lost family, friends and loved ones in the very unfortunate and tragic accident," the statement by Mutua stated.

"To those still fighting for their lives in hospital, we pray that they get a speedy recovery and we thank the medical personnel attending to them. This is a difficult moment for these families and our campaign prays for them to get comfort and fortitude."
The two at the same time asked motorists to maintain decorum while plying various routes in the country.
This comes even as the death toll of the accident rises to 33.
The Modern Coast bus was involved in an accident at the Nithi River bridge blackspot. The bus was on its way to Mombasa from Meru at the time of the accident.
