Former president Daniel Arap Moi's press secretary, Lee Njiru, on Wednesday, July 27, shed more light on his tenure at State House.
Njiru disclosed the events that transpired at State House and the intrigues he witnessed while serving the late Mzee Moi.
In the interview on JKL show, he said that some state house employees turned to witchcraft if they felt there positions were threatened.
Njiru noted that many employees could not fathom the idea of simply missing out on the job which was perceived to be one of great affluence and influence.
"Nobody wanted to be removed from State House. So if they felt inadequate or that their positions were threatened, some would turn to divine interventions. They would go to the occult, dark forces," he stated.

As Kenya heads to the August polls in less than two weeks, Njiru said that there was no difference between President Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto, Raila Odinga, and Kalonzo Musyoka.
Njiru cautioned the public that politicians are all the same and they can turn against you.
"There is no difference between Raila, Ruto, Kalonzo, Mudavadi, and other politicians; they're all political cousins and they can turn against you," the former press secretary said.
He cited examples of the perks politicians enjoy once they hold senior positions in government and exit.
Njiru stated that the people of Kenya should think about themselves.
