President-elect William Ruto has sent a message to his fiercest competitor in the just concluded general election, Azimio’s Raila Odinga.
Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya on Monday, Ruto thanked the ODM leader for engaging in a campaign that dwelled on issues affecting the people of Kenya.
The President-elect stated that he will work with all the elected leaders saying that there was no loser in the election as Kenyans won.
“I want to thank my worthy competitor, Hon Raila Odinga, for a campaign that we all dwelled on issues and we tried to sell an agenda to the people of Kenya. I want to promise that I will work with all elected leaders,” Ruto stated.

In his speech, the president-elect also stated that he will run a transparent government that was open and democratic.
“I want to promise the people of Kenya that I will run a transparent, open democratic government. I will work with the opposition to the extent that they provide oversight over my administration,” Ruto stated.
He further thanked the IEBC chairman for making the servers of the commission open where every Kenyan was able to access the results.
Ruto said that Chebukati was Kenya’s hero.
“IEBC amazed all of us. All the servers were open Wafula Chebukati is our hero. He is soft-spoken but firm. He put all the results on a public portal where every Kenyan could access. That became the game-changer in this election,” Ruto stated.
