A party with a majority of MPs gets the most share of nomination slots.

Upon the completion of the August 9, polls, the UDA party led by President-elect William Ruto topped with the most number of MPs at both the National Assembly and the Senate.

Ruto's UDA party bagged 22 senators while the ODM party got 13, Jubilee four, Wiper party 3, and UDM 2.

At the Senate Assembly, there are a total of 20 nomination slots.

These nomination slots are divided as follows: 16 slots for women, two for youth, and 2 for people living with disability(PLWD).

According to the calculation, the UDA party is guaranteed 9 slots at the Senate while the ODM party will get six.

The outgoing ruling Jubilee party will get one nomination slot while the UDM Party and Wiper party will also get one slot each.

At the national Assembly, UDA party also leads with the highest number of elected MPs followed again by the ODM.

UDA has 136 elected MPs followed by ODM  which has 84 MPs.

UDA will get 5 nomination slots while ODM will get three. Wiper will get three nomination slots.

The numbers will however change considering that there are pending elections in Pokot South, Kacheliba, Kitui Rural and Rongai constituencies.
