Chama Cha Kazi Party leader Moses Kuria has moved to the Supreme Court to stop the presidential petition filed by Azimio coalition party leader Raila Odinga on Monday, August 22.
According to the outgoing Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Raila’s aides caused violence at the National Tallying Centre in Bomas, assaulting IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and other IEBC commissioners.
He further alleged that the former Prime Minister has continued with activities to disrupt the electoral process and undermine the will of the people.
“Raila Odinga through Chief Agent Kanchory and others caused violence at the Bomas of Kenya Tallying Centre, physically assaulted the National Returning Officer and other commissioners. He has continued with activities to disrupt the electoral process and subvert the will of the people and Democratic order,” Kuria stated on his social media platforms.

The legislator claimed that the former Prime Minister should come with clean hands in his bid to seek justice at the apex court.
“He who seeks justice must come with clean hands. Hon Rtd Col Geoffrey Kingangi and myself have today filed at the Supreme Court Petition E006 of 2022,” Kuria said.
Raila on Monday presented his petition papers at the Milimani Law Courts stating that his legal challenge was a do or die battle with corruption cartels who he alleged were prepared to compromise the electoral systems.
“The steps we have taken today are to stop the corruption cartels from jeopardizing democracy in our country otherwise we will have no country,” Raila said.
The former Prime Minister said that his side had enough evidence to show that they won in the presidential election.
