Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen ignited a war of words between him and vocal blogger Gabriel Oguda after he made remarks that seemingly aimed at mocking the latter.
In a tweet on Wednesday, August 24, Murkomen chided Oguda for being a critic of Nairobi governor-elect Johnson Sakaja.
Oguda had attacked Sakaja numerous times about his university degree that became the borne of contention for months before he was cleared to vie.
It is on that backdrop that Murkomen chided Oguda ostensibly because his remarks did not block Sakaja from winning the City governor seat.
While attacking him, Murkomen asked Sakaja to welcome him to his swearing-in scheduled for Thursday.

"There is a guy called Gabriel Oguda who deleted all his tweets upon learning that Johnson Sakaja was the new Governor of Nairobi. In the spirit of brotherhood and forgiveness I request Gov. Sakaja to invite Ndugu Gabriel (named after Angel Gabriel) to his inauguration tomorrow," Murkomen said.
In a rejoinder, Oguda fired back at him saying:
"Tell him to unblock me first. I can help him finish his Actuarial Science degree, aache kutumia ile alipata kwa kiosk Uganda."
Sakaja, who vied on UDA party, won the Nairobi governor seat during elections held on August 9.
He beat his closest rival Polycarp Igathe of Jubilee who came in second.
