Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Monday visited presidential escort officers who were injured in the line of duty.
The officers who hospitalised were injured while in the line of duty.
In a statement on his visit, Gachagua said many of them have made tremendous progress in their recovery journey.

He expressed government's commitment to ensuring the interests of police officers are catered for.
"I took time to visit officers of the presidential escort team admitted in hospital after a road accident in the course of duty," he said in a statement on social media.
"I am happy they have made substantial progress and the doctors taking care of them assured me they would be discharged in the next few days. We celebrate our police officers for their patriotism and commitment to serve."
