Former Nairobi Governors Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Ann Kananu have disparaged each other head on social media over the appointments President William Ruto made to his cabinet.
Trouble started when Kananu took swipe at the CS nominees seemingly suggesting they don't fit the bill.
"William Ruto's cabinet will be made up of all manner of criminals and characters, from murderers to thieves to school dropouts and even drunkards. I'm crying for Kenya!" She tweeted.
The remarks did not augur well with Sonko who fired back at her naming her as a fake Governor.

"Wewe Ngavana Mbonoko tingana na nyegere syakure nyamaza urare ama nikukunjie sai. Ndip state yenyu irikwisa. (You fake governor, shut up and sleep, or else I will come for you immediately. Your deep state was finished)," he responded.
The response by Sonko yet again triggered a rejoinder from Kananu who went bare-knuckle on Sonko with a harsh response.
"If this is the kind of person who was masquerading as the Governor of Nairobi County and a wannabe leader, Kenya is doomed. No wonder you were IMPEACHED!"
Kananu was serving as chief officer for Nairobi county under Governor Sonko's administration before she was appointed deputy governor by Sonko.
Sonko was however impeached and this led to Kananu assuming the office as City's Third Governor.
