A report by the World Economic Forum (WEF) has revealed 15 job areas that will grow significantly within the next five years globally.
Additionally, in the report published in January 2025, WEF revealed 15 jobs that are set to decline within the next five years.
Largest Growing Jobs
As detailed in the report, the agricultural sector will offer several opportunities in the next five years, with jobs for farmworkers and labourers topping the list.
This was followed by light truck/delivery services drivers in second place while software and applications developers came in third.

The construction industry is also set to create numerous jobs with building framers, finishers listed in the fourth position. Shop Salespersons was listed as the fifth growing job in the next five years.
The others were food processors, drivers, nursing professionals, food and beverage serving workers and general and operations managers.
Social work/counselling professionals, project managers, lecturers, secondary education teachers and personal care aides were also among the largest growing jobs.
"Education-related roles such as university and higher education teachers and secondary education teachers are also predicted to be among the biggest job creators in absolute terms over the next five years globally," read the report in part.
"Broadening digital access and growing working-age populations are the top two contributing drivers of this job growth, while increased focus on labour and social issues is seen as an additional factor."
Declining Jobs
Conversely, some jobs are set to see a decline in opportunities, with cashiers leading the list.
This was followed by administrative assistants/secretaries and building caretakers, cleaners and housekeepers.
Others were stock-keeping clerks, printing workers, account clerks, auditors, conductors, security guards and bank tellers.
Data entry clerks, customer service workers, graphic designers, administration managers and examiners jobs will also decline in the next five years.
