Top Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has announced the return of his Wife Material 2 Show with one major change.

According to the comedian, the show will now have a PG rating of 21; meaning it is advisable and conducive to be watched by persons aged 21 and above.

"By now I assume that everybody understands that #WifeMaterial is clearly not a family show. We have all understood the show by now. As we prepare to bring back #WifeMaterial2 it is important to clearly state that this show is PG RATED. Please prepare and take note accordingly," he posted on Instagram.

Eric, however, did not reveal the exact date when the show will go live. He also did not indicate whether there have been changes in the script or the cast.

The decision to include the PG rating came after Eric ran into trouble with KFCB Boss Dr. Ezekiel Mutua leading to his arrest.

Eric was set to appear in court but requested for an out-of-court settlement that saw KFCB hit him with 9 demands before the case is dropped.

Among the demands include; deleting all explicit content from his online platforms, suspension of the ‘Wife Material’ show until the matter is heard and determined and provision of the show’s scripts for approval by the board before future consideration.

Eric Omondi was also required to make a commitment that he’ll not produce or exhibit explicit content on his online platforms and that in all his production activities, he’ll adhere to the set guidelines provided by KFCB.

One of the guidelines included having ratings to ensure children are protected from adult content, which Eric has now complied with.

“…That the said Eric Omondi deletes all explicit content running on his online channels forthwith…That the program is contention dubbed ‘Wife Material’ is suspended forthwith until this case is heard and determined and the same fully complies with the provisions of the Films and Stage Play Act Cap 22 of the Laws of Kenya,” KFCB’s statement read in part.
