Kenya socialite Stacy Vugusta alias Pendo has been arraigned at a Mombasa court for failure to pay Ksh 208,000 bill at the English Point Marina hotel.
According to court documents, Pendo had accumulated a total bill of Ksh330,000 but was only able to pay Ksh145,000.
The judge freed her on Ksh35,000 cash bail and ordered her to pay the outstanding Ksh208,000 bill by March 15 2021.
Accumulating debt
It is alleged that Pendo had arrived at the hotel in the company of an unidentified man who abandoned her after they spent a few days together.
The bill accumulated to Ksh330,000 and she managed to pay Ksh145,000 and promised the hotel she will clear the arrears in two days which she failed to do.
The hotel management blocked her from leaving the premises, demanding that she pay the amount in full.
After two weeks the hotel management decided to have her arraigned in court since the bill was still accumulating.
