The Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised 1,000 internship opportunities at the State Department of Basic Education at the Ministry of Education.
The internship opportunities are under the Digital Literacy Program (DLP), cohort 3.
Successful candidates will deployed to schools at the sub-county level where in addition to acquiring practical skills and knowledge, the interns will play a crucial role in supporting learning and other related digital platforms.
Qualification
To qualify for the internship position, a candidate must have graduated not earlier than 2019 and be in possession of a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Information Communication Technology or a Bachelor's degree in ICT, or a Diploma in ICT OR ICT Integration in Education from a recognised institution.

The candidate must have knowledge of networking and infrastructure applications development, information security and project management.
The candidate must also be willing to be deployed at the Sub County Education office within the county on a full-time basis.
The interns will support E-learning and content development in line with the schemes of work. They will also provide class support and training for primary school teachers in the use of dignitary learning.
They will also support the implementation of the Digital Learning Programme, carry out innovations in schools and support teachers by integrating ICT in the delivery of teaching.
The internship period will last 12 months and it will be non-renewable.
Those who will get the opportunities will be paid a stipend at a rate which will be determined by the Government.
Successful candidates upon the completion of their terms will be issued with a certificate by the State Department.
