The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned of cold conditions in some parts of the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Rift Valley, and South-eastern Kenya in the next seven days.
In a weather forecast report on Tuesday, August 27, the weatherman disclosed that night-time temperatures in some of the Central Highlands, Rift Valley, and South-eastern lowlands will go below 10°C.
"Intermittent cold and cloudy conditions are expected in parts of the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Rift Valley, and South-eastern regions. Low night-time temperatures (below 10°C) expected in some parts of the Central Highlands, Rift Valley, and South-eastern lowlands," read part of the report.
The central highlands consist of the counties of Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi, while the south-eastern lowlands include Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta.

However, Kenya Met noted that high daytime temperatures of above 30°C will be experienced in some parts of the Coast, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya.
The Coast includes the counties of Mombasa, Tana-River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale while North-western Kenya includes Turkana and Samburu counties.
North-eastern Kenya includes the counties of Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo.
At the same time, the weatherman disclosed that rainfall was likely at the start of the forecast period in parts of Western Kenya, Central Highlands, Rift Valley, Coast, and North-eastern Kenya.
The rest of the country will remain dry during the forecast period.
