Lawyer Morara Kebaso has been released by police following his arrest on Tuesday, October 10.

In a statement, he detailed that he had been released on a free bond.

According to the lawyer, he was arrested and taken to Karen Police Station.

At the station, he was arrested and questioned regarding comments he made during the public participation process of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

"I have been released on free bond from Karen Police Station for uttering the words 'Kufa Makanga Kufa Dereva'. I am back in town like I never left," he wrote on his X account.

Further, Kebaso thanked Kenyans for standing with him given that online users had demanded his release.

"Thank you guys for fighting for me. I will always fight for you. You are mine and I am yours. Kaende kaende," he added.

In recent days, Morara has been in the limelight following his arrest and attack at the Bomas of Kenya.

The lawyer was arrested by unknown individuals when he went to participate in the public participation of Gachagua's impeachment. 

Following the incident, he claimed that his life was in danger and asked Kenyans to assist him revamp his security.

"I am requesting Kenyans of goodwill to support me in boosting my security infrastructure and manpower," the lawyer pleaded.
